The old way of design consulting is coming to an end.
This isn’t 1995. It’s time to abandon the old way of estimating one-off projects and invest in a relationship that responds to your unique design needs.
Lair Media specializes in an uncommon approach to consultations that prioritizes strong client relationships ahead of nonsensical hourly rates, isolated project scopes, and per-unit costs for standalone deliverables.

No Estimates
Lair Media replaces the estimation process with a competitive monthly subscription that covers the cost of any creative work over the course of a subscription term. Our rate does not change between businesses, is non-negotiable, and makes available Lair Media’s entire wheelhouse of services.
No Scope Creep
Because Lair Media’s services are priced as a subscription, there is no scope creep. Clients are not nickeled and dimed for design services because there are no limits on the deliverables–or number of renditions–they can receive. Getting something done is as straightforward as reaching out with a brief.
No Bullshit
This means exactly what it suggests. Everything created within the subscription term is yours–including alternate renditions and incomplete work. Cancel anytime–even if you only need creative work for a month. When the relationship needs to end, it can end. If you got what you needed, I’m glad I could help

The marketplace would have you believe that the only way to schedule, plan, and pay for design is through the prescribed system of cumbersome RFPs, lengthy project estimates, and nonsensical hourly rates.
Lair Media’s subscription model is based on the idea of selling a relationship that achieves design consistency by offering a universal rate for services rendered within a rolling term of production.
Corporate and
Personal Branding
Branding is essential to maintaining a successful business. It is not only the logo that goes on your packaging: it is the presence and indelible marks that you are remembered by.
Copywriting & UX Writing
Copywriting sells products. UX Writing sells your brand experience. Being good at both can be essential to modern day business success, and that is why I offer my clients both.

Continued Creative Support
Quality design does not exist in a vacuum. To get the most out of it, design must also touch everything in your business–which is only possible through a continuous relationship.
Communication Design
Communications Design is a category of services that cover two distinct disciplines: WordPress Web design, and marketing design–which covers both print and digital communications.

Most of my experience involves working with businesses in SaaS, professional services like law, and marketing, and assisting the efforts of fellow designers. In the last year, I have been doing a project for the U.S. military on an award-winning application design initiative in health and wellness.
Senior Level Designers Have Never Been This Accessible
Senior Level Designers Have Never Been This Accessible
Most small to medium-sized businesses pay designers between $60,000-$70,000 per year. While this is a great salary for someone fresh out of college, this figure all but formally excludes SMBs from hiring mid and senior-level personnel–as these professionals typically fetch salaries reaching in the low six-figure range.
On the front end, it may seem as if money is being saved by not hiring more experienced professionals. On the back end, however, this inability to retain senior-level creatives will prevent your business from meaningfully achieving creative maturity.
When you look at it like that, a $3,000/mo subscription isn’t. expensive. Actually, it’s a damn good deal.
Lair Media’s subscription design service empowers startups and SMBs by giving them senior-level design that is more affordable than hiring another junior designer–all while being more consistent and qualitatively superior to the junior-level alternative.
