Like Many Professionals In This Day And Age, I Work From Home.
It hasn’t always been this way, but unlike most people, it is how I have worked for most of my career. Over 10 years ago, a much younger version of myself worked from home as a digital marketer and creative professional as well. As one would suspect, however, times were different. Back then, the economy was different: Jobs were scarcer, employers wanted you to commute, and many of the greatest opportunities available to me as a designer were ones that I created for myself.

When it comes to information design, people have always come to the same conclusion: I know my shit, and for good reason. My career started shortly after high school, and I got my start doing digital magazine designs while enrolled in college. Though my career began with digital magazines, it would later evolve to social media design, web design, content design and now web applications.
I have had the pleasure of working in a very diverse host of creative mediums, and have even spent a fair share of my creative career as a content marketer. As a team member, I am someone who tries to bring the whole of his knowledge to the table when managing work, making creative decisions, and providing mentorship to younger professionals. I also take pride in getting things done.

Marne MCAT
US Army 3rd Infantry Division
Award winning mold contamination application design for the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division.
I design communications for one reason: because communication is universal.
In my mind, at least, that has always rendered communications design as a universal creative practice—and continuously relevant to all kinds of design work. For such reasons, my work has been used in everything from publication designs, to websites, to applications.
IN THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS I
Have been designing WordPress websites and doing UI/UX design for web-hosted applications.
To some, I may look and feel like a design generalist. But don’t call me a design generalist.
It just happens to be that communications has a very broad and diverse scope of applications. Though I will readily admit that my repertoire can fit into a lot of jobs, and I can fulfill a lot of professional roles, be warned: Focus too much on my individual skill sets instead of how they are intended to work together, and you might just miss the forest for the trees.
IN THE NEXT SEVERAL YEARS I
Will expand my current catalogue of UI/UX projects, and work to develop more meaningful specializations within UI/UX design.
