Brandi Goes to Town

SHORTCUT

If you are busy with multiple portfolio reviews, then let's not waste any of your precious time. Skip the background story and jump straight into the details of the assignment -- starting with the company background.

Something that I appreciate about friends is that they can know what you love and hate, and know the exact ways that you need to be brought out of your shell. Brandi goes to town is a simple concept shoot that I conducted with my friend, and amateur model, Brandi Giordano, and was organized with the primary purpose of developing a series of fashion photographs that feature my creative abilities behind the camera. While historically, work in fashion–and with fashion–has touched me throughout different periods of my life, particularly as the editor of my own fashion publication, never did I have any time behind the camera as a fashion photographer. This project takes the time to explore this creative arrangement for the first time.

In truth, I like photographing fashion. In many ways, it feels like a missing creative link in my process. While this project is the first of many, I am looking forward to future shoots where my skills in this area can continue to be honed, both with Brandi and other models as well.
